Tyler’s passion for coaching started while growing up as the youngest of three boys in a sports focused household. Today he continues to find passion in teaching others. In his spare time you’ll find Tyler hanging out with his wife Aubree and dog Jax being outdoors and exploring their new city of Chicago. Learn more about Tyler in our Q&A below:

What motivated you to become a Personal Trainer?
My biggest motivation is from the personal trainers I was lucky enough to have growing up. They all taught me so much and had a huge impact on my life. They sparked what turned out to be my biggest passion and I love that I now have a chance to be that person for others.

How would you describe your training personality?
I would describe my training personality as “Adaptable Strength”. I really like to focus on building my clients overall strength from the inside out. That helps their goals fall into place. Not everyone is capable of training at a high (intensity) level or even the same level, so being adaptable is key.

What brought you to LulaFit?
I have my wife to thank for this, she received a promotion that required us to relocate to Chicago. I knew I wanted to stay in the fitness industry but I didn’t want it to be with just a generic chain gym. I ended up googling “top wellness companies” and LulaFit made the list. I did a lot of research and stalked a lot of LinkedIn profiles, applied and the rest is history.

What advice do you have for people that are just getting into fitness?
My advice for people that are just getting into fitness would be, give it a chance and patient! Fitness is a lifelong journey that changes with you and never quite ends.

What is your favorite workout and why?
I am always up for anything active, although I love strength work I’d have to say my favorite is a good HIIT workout because I don’t do enough cardio on my own.

What do you like to do for fun?
Besides working out, I enjoy spending time with my wife and dog and trying to explore all this city has to offer which we are quickly learning just about always involves eating and drinking!
